On Dec 16/2023, Toronto Local is scheduling the regular membership monthly meeting in person.

The Toronto Local and Regional Office Women’s Committee will be having a food-drive for the poor and homeless. Unfortunately, there are more poorer and homeless people having to rely on the food-bank, all food-banks are in crisis and need donations immediately.
Dear Sisters/Brothers:
The Toronto Local is asking members for any by-law change requests they wish to submit, these requests should be one per page and preferably typed.
Sisters, Brothers and Siblings:
It is hard to believe that the violence that happened at the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal happened 34 years ago, 14 Women were murdered on this day in Montreal because they were Women. It was a horrific event that we will never forget.

The National Constitution allows dues waivers when the member is off work and the requested dues waiver is approved as per the National Constitution. In order to be eligible, you must be a member in good standing. Membership is a condition of employment (4.07 of the Collective Agreement). For RAND members, please note that upon becoming a member, the union dues waiver is not retroactive.

The upcoming negotiations is very important to us and to our families. We deserve more money, we deserve better working conditions and we deserve better benefits. This is the time we come together and vote for our demands.
