As requested by the membership the Local has asked for a National Interpretation of Article 13 for the bids at Gateway.
13.04 a)
Where there is a change in at least one constituent elements (excluding a change to the time of meal), a section bid shall occur between the “incumbents of assignments in the same classification within the same section…”

This is a reminder that the Shop Steward and Committees term runs from April to March, therefore, to be a Steward for the 2024 - 2025 term, YOU MUST RE-APPLY (BE NOMINATED) for the position. If you do not put in another nomination, your stewardship ends at the end of March. NOMINATIONS/ACCEPTANCES MUST BE FAXED, MAILED OR HAND DELIVERED, NO EMAILS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

When CUPW negotiated for Gateway East we negotiated against the Dictator, we saw a boss that refused to agree to any proposals and refused to show any compassion for our member’s lives. They pushed all part time members to midnights and changed all start times.
