SHOP STEWARD POSITIONS & COMMITTEES 2024 - 2025 TERM

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

This is a reminder that the Shop Steward and Committees term runs from April to March, therefore, to be a Steward for the 2024 - 2025 term, YOU MUST RE-APPLY (BE NOMINATED) for the position.  If you do not put in another nomination, your stewardship ends at the end of March.   NOMINATIONS/ACCEPTANCES MUST BE FAXED, MAILED OR HAND DELIVERED, NO EMAILS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

 

Nominations for Shop Stewards, all locations for the 2024 - 2025 term.  ** In order to be nominated as Shop Steward, YOU MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING.  Nominations and acceptances must be received at the Union Hall to the attention of the Secretary-Treasurer, no later than 72 hours prior to the February General Membership Meeting.  Nominations will be in accordance with the Toronto Local By-Laws.  Remember, YOU MUST RE-APPLY (BE NOMINATED) otherwise, your stewardship ENDS AT THE END OF MARCH 2024

In addition, the following committees will have to be re-nominated:

Organization Committee (6), Education (12), Postal Journal (8), Anti-Racism (5), Ways & Means (7), Human Rights (6), Social Stewards (Accredited  Union Counsellor (3), Temporary Worker (6), Pension & Retiree (6).

** To be nominated for any of the above-mentioned committees, you MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING.**      

Nominations will not be accepted until after FEBRUARY 1st, 2024, therefore, Any nominations submitted prior to this date, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-SUBMIT AGAIN AFTER FEBRUARY 1ST, 2024.

RESULTS OF THE EXECUTIVE ELECTION(S)(2nd & FINAL ROUND)

 

Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Comrades,

 

            2nd Round Elections commenced March 2, 2026 and concluded March 11, 2026 on or       around 8:15 p.m. in compliance of Article 8 of Toronto Local By-Laws (Ver. April 15,             2025). Ballot counting occurred from March 11, 2026 @ 9:00 a.m. and completed March      11, 2026.   In addition to the Election Committee and independent third party, the      counting of the ballots was witnessed by eight (8) scrutineers. Results are as follows:
