WE HAVE TO STAND UP AND FIGHT MANAGEMENT’S DEMANDS FOR GROUP 2 THEY ARE SIMPLY RIDICULOUS

 

Sisters, Brothers, Siblings:

The demands the corporation has put in for Variable Work Week, No Route Ownership, Permanent Flexible Employee’s and major restructuring of letter carrier work are pathetic.

It is time to get ready to stand up in Solidarity and fight! The Toronto Local is strongly opposed to management’s shenanigans and are preparing to battle.  Feet on the street is the only way to win with this employer, the longer the line the shorter the strike.  We need to stop attacking each other and focus on attacking the boss. 

In the near future you will be asked to come out to vote for a strike vote, this does not mean we are going on strike, in actual fact it shows that we as workers support the demands for better working conditions with a 100% yes vote to support the National Negotiating Committee.

The Toronto Local is adamantly against these demands put in by the employer, we intend to fight this with everything we have!  An Injury to One is An Injury to all.  We will not stand by and watch this disgusting employer destroy and injure our work floor.

The demands put in by the Local were No SSD, better working conditions, Protection for Temporary Workers, staffing vacancies and demands so that our members can work their shifts without injury and having good benefits after retirement.

This will take every members support to achieve, we fully expect that our members will be strong and are ready for the war.

April 28 Day of Mourning

 

Dear Postal Workers,

On April 28th, we observe the National Day of Mourning to honour those who have lost their lives or suffered in the workplace. This day also serves as a call to action for stricter safety standards. Let’s stand in solidarity with our fellow Postal Workers, advocating for the vital changes our workplaces need and resisting intimidation from management.
