POSTAL WORKERS UNDER ATTACK

Sisters and Brothers,

Postal Workers are being attacked by the federal government again. During the pandemic we only received praise while delivering mail including medication, food and supplies to the public on a daily basis.

Minister in charge of Canada Post Filomena Tassi, sends a survey to the interest group with the following questions:

  • Closing rural post offices?
  • Replacing postal workers with machines?
  • Closing all home deliveries and installing community mail box?
  • Cutting mail delivery 3 times a week?

Toronto Local is very concerned about the minister’s survey. Shame on her and the liberal government.

Toronto Local is asking members to email your local MP’s and tell them to STOP all the attacks on postal workers and we will remember them in the next election. Workers cannot be replaced by machines.

Email address for Ms Tassi at [email protected] and copy the minority prime minister at [email protected]

Postal workers under attack, what do we do? Stand up! Fight back!

Toronto Local will be meeting with every MP in our local jurisdiction to remind them about the services we provide to the public which the federal government called essential. They will be also reminded that they are a minority government and these types of attacks could change history.

The struggle continues.

In Solidarity,

VOTE YES FOR A CLEAR STRIKE MANDATE

Sisters, Brothers, Cousins:

The Corporation is not negotiating in good faith with the National CUPW Negotiators.  In simple terms they have not agreed to any clauses in the Collective Agreement. We cannot sit back and avoid a strike if Canada Post does not continue to negotiate, not this time.  Every member has to come out to vote to protect all of our rights.
