Canadian Labour Congress Convention – June 16 - June 18, 2021, to Be Held Virtually

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

The Toronto Local is accepting nominations and acceptance for the C.L.C. Convention. You can sent your nomination and acceptance either by fax-416-249-8764, mail, hand delivered or email to [email protected]. As mentioned above, this meeting will be held virtually from Wednesday, June 16 to Friday, June 18, 2021. Toronto Local is eligible to fifteen (13) delegates.

To be nominated as a delegate, you must be a Member in Good Standing (M.I.G.S.) and have attended 50% of the General Membership meetings in the previous twelve (12) months. All nominations and acceptance must be received at the Toronto Local no later than 12:00 Noon April 19 2021. Please register at [email protected]

Please note that this meeting will be 3 days instead of five days and will require long hours of participation. The Local wants all delegates to participate and prepare a report after the Canadian Labour Congress Convention and share with the membership at the July 2021 General Membership Meeting.

April 28 Day of Mourning

 

Dear Postal Workers,

On April 28th, we observe the National Day of Mourning to honour those who have lost their lives or suffered in the workplace. This day also serves as a call to action for stricter safety standards. Let’s stand in solidarity with our fellow Postal Workers, advocating for the vital changes our workplaces need and resisting intimidation from management.
