General Membership Meeting On Aug 21 /2021 at 9 AM by Virtual Platform

Sisters and Brothers,

We want to thank all the members who participated the July 20, 2021 General Membership Meeting. Together we can achieve more for our members and we will.

In order to participate the Toronto Local Virtual Aug 21, 2021 General Membership Meeting,

-You must be a member in Good Standing from Toronto Local

-You must register by sending email to [email protected] in advance. Please register before NOON Aug 20/2021 (Your registration must contain your Full Name and ID#)

After registering, you will receive all the documentations you need for this meeting and the link to join the meeting before the Aug 2021 GMM. The Agenda for the August GMM will be post at Union Boards as per the Local By-Laws.

The meeting is under the National C.U.P.W guidance and directions to hold General membership meeting by Virtual Platform to adhere the Public Health Guidelines.

- Toronto Local officer (Recording Secretary or any other officer or member that the Local assigned for this duty) will be the only authorized to take the GMM minutes for the Local records and usage. URGENT – TEMPORARY WORKERS: 44.11(a) LETTERS

Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends,

Canada Post on December 12^th, 2025 has again started to issue 44.11(a) termination letters to temporary workers. If you receive one, it is critical that you act immediately.

WHAT TO DO RIGHT AWAY:

File a grievance without delay.
Contact your Shop Steward at onceor call the Toronto Local Grievance Officer to arrange an in-person meeting at the Union Hall.
Gather any documentationthat explains the reasons for your unavailability.
Do not resign and do not accept termination.

Temporary workers are not disposable. You are essential, you are union, and you deserve fair treatment. Your rights are protected under the collective agreement—use them.

The Toronto Local is defending your rights.

CUPW is filing grievances, challenging violations, and pushing back against unfair treatment.

Solidarity means every worker counts.

We will not allow Canada Post to divide us. We will not remain silent while temporary workers are used, mistreated, or pushed aside.

An injury to one is an injury to all—and the Toronto Local will fight for every single member.
