TORONTO LOCAL EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION VOTE NO TO BOTH COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS

Sisters and Brothers,

The Toronto Local executive met today and voted on the recommendations from the NEB on the extension of the Urban and RSMC collective agreements.

The Toronto Local executive recommendations are:

URBAN: VOTE NO.

RSMC: VOTE NO.

We are asking our members to vote NO to the both respective collective agreements. We want our local demands to be negotiated. The extension of the collective agreements does not meet the demands put forward by the membership.

We want a stop to two tier wages.

Temp workers deserve equal pay for equal work.

We want more protection for SSD on Urban.

This agreement does not provide all hours paid for RSMC members.

We cannot accept the language in MOA’s which constrains the union such as:

“Conditional, discuss issues, examine, may continue their discussion, mutually agreed on, outstanding issues shall become part of the next round of bargaining, nothing in the agreement constrains the corporation from…….…, agreed to meet and reaffirm the commitment”.

Please update your information at [email protected] by August 2nd,2021. It looks like an address change but please fill in the form, in order to get the link to vote on the extension of these collective agreements.

An Injury to one is an injury to all.

In Solidarity

VOTE YES FOR A CLEAR STRIKE MANDATE

Sisters, Brothers, Cousins:

The Corporation is not negotiating in good faith with the National CUPW Negotiators.  In simple terms they have not agreed to any clauses in the Collective Agreement. We cannot sit back and avoid a strike if Canada Post does not continue to negotiate, not this time.  Every member has to come out to vote to protect all of our rights.

AMENDED STRIKE MANDATE VOTE

Sisters and Brothers,

The Strike Mandate Vote Agenda will be as follows:

  1. Reading Harassment Policy and the Land Acknowledgment
