**VOTE to REJECT Canada Post's Offer** VOTE REJECT

The Toronto Local stands together in our call to vote REJECT, prioritizing our dignity and rights over accepting Canada Post’s unacceptable offer.

A decisive REJECTION safeguards our future and upholds the integrity of the bargaining process. It sends a powerful message that Postal Workers are united and steadfast.

A YES vote is more than acceptance; it signals capitulation to bullying and threatens the erosion of our collective bargaining rights. **FIGHTING FOR WHAT MATTERS IS ALWAYS WORTH IT.** Now is the time to assert ourselves. Tomorrow’s fight will be more challenging if we don’t find the courage to stand up today. A YES vote opens the door for Canada Post to impose a vote on their FINAL OFFER for 2028 and beyond—a scenario we must fiercely reject.

Voting YES weakens our Union and signals to the corporation that we’re willing to settle for less than we deserve. Canada Post aims to dilute our bargaining power, and a YES vote only empowers them to dictate their terms without our voice at the table.

If the offer is approved with a Yes majority, it will result in the dismissal of several National Grievances. This includes the unresolved issue of the four personal days that should have been granted to us each year since 2019. While the federal government allocated ten sick days for all federal employees, Canada Post only provided six, leaving us owed approximately 24 days' worth of pay. Additionally, the National Grievance regarding the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) would be withdrawn, with the last adjustment we received in November 2023. The agreement would also eliminate ongoing route measurement grievances and halt the review of the SSD arbitration currently pending in court. It takes away all the overtime opportunities for all groups, limits the hours for part-time regular employees and gives the hours to the flex part-time! Those issues are in the 500 pages that are not being sent to your home by them.

For further details, visit our National CUPW website, which offers essential information regarding the implications of Canada Post’s offer.

We must unite and vote REJECT.

There’s much concealed in the fine print of Canada Post’s offer. Remember, the sole purpose of our Union is to represent and protect us, the Postal Workers.

Our National Executive Board, Our National Negotiators, Our Toronto Local Executive Committee, and the General Membership Meeting in Toronto voted unanimously to REJECT Canada Post’s offer.

**VOTE REJECT for respect, for dignity, and for a negotiated collective agreement that works for Postal Workers.**

Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends,

Canada Post on December 12th, 2025 has again started to issue 44.11(a) termination letters to temporary workers. If you receive one, it is critical that you act immediately.

WHAT TO DO RIGHT AWAY:

  1. File a grievance without delay.
  2. Contact your Shop Steward at onceor call the Toronto Local Grievance Officer to arrange an in-person meeting at the Union Hall.
  3. Gather any documentationthat explains the reasons for your unavailability.
  4. Do not resign and do not accept termination.

Temporary workers are not disposable. You are essential, you are union, and you deserve fair treatment. Your rights are protected under the collective agreement—use them.

The Toronto Local is defending your rights.

CUPW is filing grievances, challenging violations, and pushing back against unfair treatment.

Solidarity means every worker counts.

We will not allow Canada Post to divide us.  We will not remain silent while temporary workers are used, mistreated, or pushed aside.

An injury to one is an injury to all—and the Toronto Local will fight for every single member.

In Solidarity and In Strength

With Christmas right around the corner, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you and your families a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays and a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year.

The resilience and strength in the face of challenges we have faced truly inspired all Postal Workers and our National Negotiators.

As we spend this Christmas and New Year holiday with loved ones, take a moment to reflect on gratitude and unity.
