**Your Vote Matters** Canada’s Federal Election: April 28, 2025

Dear Postal Workers,

If you believe in the equal rights of the women in your life—your daughter, sister, mother, and wife—I urge you to read this bulletin.

In 2022, Statistics Canada reported that women make up 50.9% of our nation’s population. However, this representation is not reflected in the House of Commons. In the 44th Canadian Parliament, only 103 female Members of Parliament (MPs) were elected out of 338, resulting in just 30.5% representation of women in the 2021 Parliament. Among these female MPs, 22 stepped into this important role for the first time.

On April 28, I encourage you to vote. As you choose your candidate, take a moment to reflect on which candidate can best serve the interests of postal workers. If you find yourself torn between two qualified candidates, consider supporting the female candidate based on the insights provided. Remember, true equality is achieved through our actions.

April 28 Day of Mourning

Dear Postal Workers,

On April 28th, we observe the National Day of Mourning to honour those who have lost their lives or suffered in the workplace. This day also serves as a call to action for stricter safety standards. Let’s stand in solidarity with our fellow Postal Workers, advocating for the vital changes our workplaces need and resisting intimidation from management.
