Sisters and Brothers:
Your contract demands meetings are scheduled on the above
date and location. This is your time to come out and vote on
stronger language to change our everyday working conditions and
give us the language we need in our collective agreement to
fight the boss to have a better working life.
Nothing comes easy for workers; it is through our collective
bargaining that we have the strength to achieve fair working
conditions and fair wages. Canada Post has never given us
anything without a struggle. We have had long and hard strikes,
and a Union that negotiated and mediated our issues and won our
rights under the collective agreements.
We all have a busy scheduled with our families and
responsibilities outside of working at Canada Post, but take the
time to come out to vote on these important demands to improve
our work standards at Canada Post. Make an effort to attend one
of the meetings.
The National will be sending the demands to every member’s
home through the Union Perspective Newsletter for the members to
read prior to the meeting. Be informed of the contract demands
put forward by our National office, as there are many demands in
this round from our Local.
The Local Executive is looking forward to seeing you at the
meetings.
In Solidarity
